“If you only say one prayer in a day, let it be thank you!”
― Jalal Ad-Din Rumi
My sister sent me this lovely card from the East Coast of England.

I’m thankful for the sunshine
that greets my day,
thankful for flowers
frolicking on the way.
Birds remind me of the harmony of souls,
trees throw down kisses,
and the dark earth consoles.
The moon smiles, each time I look out,
and stars twinkle
from heavens devout.
I’m thankful for humans
who hold up their light,
thankful for kind words
that get me through the night.
On pathways of sorrow when I’m lost in the dark,
there’s never a moment when I can’t see a spark.
I look into the light
and I see a soft glow,
in particles of presence,
grace is bestowed.
The oceans may thunder,
and tempests may roar,
but even in stillness
bright seabirds soar.
Filled to the brim
with the lightness of being,
on the cusp of glory,
enlivened by the feeling,
of love
overflowing
and mercy Divine
in the temple of my body
where radiance shines…
