Trying to forget

his frightened
tears
cascaded
into
choked up
longing
when
dad
didn’t
return…
he ran
through
the
grief
of a once
happy
home
and
he tried
to
forget
the
cacophony
of sobs
that rang
out
in his
still
innocent ears……
