My orchid who I name “Harry the third” came back to life this week
after being asleep for a year…

awaken from sleep
believe something beautiful
be restored by grace
skeletal trophies
fashioned by inconstant tides
gifts from other worlds…
adorn the sidewalks
in jacaranda blossoms
summer is calling
comfy sitting rooms
diversions and abstractions
adornments of joy…
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”―
wading through marshlands
to unearth precious treasures
planted in my heart…
as eventide falls
ducks frolic on the waters
splashing their delight
snapshots wedded bliss
old photographs bright bouquets
treasured memories
senses coalesce
with temperate transfusions
transposing the blues
infused excitement
my childish expectations
i count the minutes
basking in sunshine
far from the maddening crowd
life in slow motion
