Thoughts!

“When you don’t cover up the world with words and labels, a sense of the miraculous returns to your life that was lost a long time ago when humanity, instead of using thought, became possessed by thought.”
― Eckhart TolleA New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

present moment

at times i feel like giving up, when life is tough,
complaints erupt!

groundless,
my life seems bleak, and harmony is what i seek!

when all is lost, and i can’t feel my feet, words invade,
i loose my beat!

visionless,
fear brought to bear, in darkest night, i say my prayers!

then Angels come to watch over me, to collect the fragments
of my soul’s debris!

the words i’ve mustered in my head, destructive stories,
untruth i’ve said!

thoughts become captive, on conscious breath, i live the moment,
and regain my strength!

surrender to what life has given, a place of peace,
reclaiming vision!

and gratitude raises its voice,
in dulcet tones, the heavens rejoice!

Elegance

“Elegance is a glowing inner peace. Grace is an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful. Mystery is a hidden laugh always ready to surface! Glamour only radiates if there is a sublime courage & bravery within: glamour is like the moon; it only shines because the sun is there.”
― C. JoyBell C.

In the midst of mayhem,
she kept her calm,
deliciously elegant
her presence a balm.

Slowly and deliberately
and with so much poise,
she displayed composure
amid all the noise.

The polite gestures
of her countenance oozed,
a kind of refinement,
delightfully imbued.

A Moment in time

“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.”
― Henry David ThoreauWalden

egyptian geese

is this the splendor of heaven
i see?
where green pastures invade
my reveries,
and pearly skies kiss
the tawny dunes.
where seagulls glide
on still afternoons.

if this moment
could hold me in time,
i’d gaze on the bounty of
Earth sublime,
and if an ache exists in me,
i’d set my feet
on sage green seas,
i’d watch the wild geese
call to their mates
and imbibe the pageantry
of such grace!

Celebration

“Meditation practice isn’t about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better. It’s about befriending who we are already.”
― Pema ChödrönThe Wisdom of No Escape: How to Love Yourself and Your World

bees do it

I’ve been in a downward spiral,
where doubt
exposed belief.
I’ve understood holiness,
the consciousness
of grief.

I’ve tried to evade sorrow
and armour my foolish heart.
I’ve hidden from
my loved ones,
when my life had fallen apart!

I’m beginning to translate
the beauty,
of my sacred being,
and appreciate the silence
in a moment of profound meaning.

I’m letting the ether
draw me
out of myself,
to celebrate creation,
living a life that’s
heartfelt!

I’m learning to love
my intricacies
and be my soul’s friend.
Allow emergence to take me,
so my anima
will transcend!

Kindness

“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
― Mark Twain

cavern

I’ve been touched by great kindness,
compassion blew me home.
I’ve tasted the sweetest mercy
and known I’m not alone!

Under love’s canopy,
I was led back to the light.
Called out of darkness,
restoration to my sight!

I was lost in a dark forest,
overgrown with despair,
pitiful and broken,
I was lifted by your care!

Unworthy to be seen,
in my pit of shame.
Your tender touch awoke me
and fanned my fragile flame!

A treasured possession,
no judgement in your sight,
the loving care of kindness
was a balm to my plight!

Joy and Sorrow

blossom“Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.”
― Kahlil GibranThe Prophet
