“You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?”
― Jalaluddin Rumi
Bask in resplendent sunsets,
hearken to dulcet birds.
Bathe in placid reservoirs,
be cognizant of your words.
Slumber in verdant meadows,
pick wild flowers in the sun.
Frolic in enchanted forests,
with Earth’s chorus become one.
Show concern for the homeless,
share a wholesome meal.
Spend time with the lonely,
till life regains appeal.
Count every blessing,
even the tiniest things.
Occupy each moment,
put some gusto in your wings.
Skip like delighted children,
let the wind blow through your hair.
Be dazzled by the elements,
indulge in nourishing fare.
Let go of all life’s clutter,
pirouette in the rain.
Sing like there’s no tomorrow,
love more that you can contain.
Stop to smell the roses,
always being kind.
Drink of simple pleasures,
imbibe peace of mind.

I like the idea … but it does sound a bit like hard work! Sometime we have to let go first, without thinking what we should be doing to get past where we are.
True Perfection doesn’t come from ideas. ♥️🙏♥️

I agree Val, we do have to let go first. A friend of mine told me she worked hard for the perfect life, and it all fell apart. She saw perfection as attaining material things and going on holidays. It got me to thinking we should let go of even wanting perfection. Thanks for your thoughtful comment, I like to mull these things over. ❤️😍🌹

In Afrikaans there is a song:
Eenvoud is die vreugde van die lewe
dis gee en neem net wat daar is
dis dankbaar eet van elke skewe stukkie brood
wat liefde is
Roughly translated as:
Simplicity is the joy of life
It’s give and take just what there is
It’s gratifyingly eating any piece of bread askew
For that is love
