i’m alive

i'm alivei’ve been deaf, i could not see,
my eyes tight shut,
in silent scream!

then each morning
as I wake,
the birds call,
there’s no mistake,
that they know me
by my name,
the words are clear…..
to life reclaim!

and gently,
as i rise,
in sacred love,
i breath the skies!

in tiny steps,
i will live again,
my heart is ready, to transcend….

“Meditation practice isn’t about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better. It’s about befriending who we are already.”
― Pema ChödrönThe Wisdom of No Escape: How to Love Yourself and Your World

bees do it

I’ve been in a downward spiral,
where doubt
exposed belief.
I’ve understood holiness,
the consciousness
of grief.

I’ve tried to evade sorrow
and armour my foolish heart.
I’ve hidden from
my loved ones,
when my life had fallen apart!

I’m beginning to translate
the beauty,
of my sacred being,
and appreciate the silence
in a moment of profound meaning.

I’m letting the ether
draw me
out of myself,
to celebrate creation,
living a life that’s

I’m learning to love
my intricacies
and be my soul’s friend.
Allow emergence to take me,
so my anima
will transcend!

At the twilight, a moon appeared in the sky;
In that moon, my body turned as fine as soul.
― Jalaluddin Rumi

i looked full in the face
of the pale moonlight,
and hues of soft ethereal
fell over me….
at this,
the twilight hour,
i was embodied
in wonderment,
and brimming
with fluency,
while the ambient beat
of cycadas
my unruly heart.
the lamplight blushed
in the presence of
such radiance.

i noiselessly sank
into fragrant acceptance.

there was,
all around me
images of such loveliness.

just then,
liquid light
crystals onto the surface
of the lake
and i watched as the moon reached up
to traverse the silken
evening sky.

the tranquil rising
and falling of the tide
coaxed me into
waves gently whispered
sweet nothings
between each breath
i saw myself reflected
in promises
that i would never be alone.

my hope was spread out
the sands of mercy,
the sands of time,
and i gazed up at the stars,
wondering if
my thoughts outnumbered them?
i quietly wished
on them,
still clutching the oaths i had made
in deep connection.
the planets echoed in tones
of my unknowable
distilled light delicately
my darkened

in that moment
I knew myself

Consider the lilies

“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
Luke 12:27

I awaken and wonder
what each day will bring,
I see delighted lilies,
neither toil nor spin.
I smell lavender
along the way,
touch delicate dew
on mellow days.
I watch the birds never
gather or hoard,
see butterflies dance
of their own accord.
I hear winds
softly whisper to me,
I’ve made a pact
with forbearing trees,
that if I awake again
I’ll gaze on them and
forget my sorrow.
I cannot say if my ship
will come in
I’ll wade to the breakers
and relish the swim.
I will put my trust
in eternal things,
and accept whatever
the next day brings…

“Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.”
― Eckhart Tolle

I let toxic feelings
take me,
down to their
ghostly lair.
seas were rising,
trapping me in
pits of despair.
I met a horde of emotions,
in locations where
dreams have died.
I reasoned with them,
in solitude,
till I saw a change in the tide.
The quagmire of doubt
had consumed me
and my thoughts had run wild.
I went back
to the very beginning,
when I was just a child.
I allowed myself
to mourn the loss
of what I’d hoped to be.
Loosening the chains
of bondage,
I cut down the malignant tree.
I saw
radiance within me,
deep inside my soul.
Words tattoed
on my heart,
a grace I could not control.
I may again sojourn
in dark dungeons,
when my pain body revives.
In the meantime
the yoke will loosen,
confining memoirs
to the archives….

A Soliloquy

do over
“I celebrated your joy, I promise, I did.
While into darkness, my afflictions slid.
Through pain and tears I heard applause.
I gleaned the cheers, I read the scores.
I glimpsed delight with visceral sight.
In my mind’s eye it still alights.
I’m sorry, so sorry for my shame.
I really am, let me try again?
If only I’d supped that warm embrace,
just for a moment, a sublime place!
In misery I’ve been submerged.
Stolen joy where despair converged.
Shame is more deadly than death.
Its venom steals my very breath.
I’m going beyond the outer edges
to acquire my own forgiving lenses.
When I emerge I pray I’ll  be free.
Somewhere, somehow, it’s my decree!”
