You can make me feel beautiful!

Can you make me feel
will you play your love songs?
To serenade me forever
until I truly belong…
to the chorus
of heaven,
to the colors
of the sky.
Can you tell me
that I’m beautiful,
so that love
is glorified!
And when my song
sounds gloomy,
will you bring me back
to life,
Can you make me
feel beautiful,
that I am divine…

and when my life feels
will you keep the faith?
and say
that I am beautiful
remind me endlessly
of grace…
love will be sufficient
to get us through the pain,
until our lives
become a symphony
allowing hope to remain…

As you can probably tell, I’ve been feeling pretty glum lately.
Last evening I was listening to my brother on the radio on his “easy afternoon” show
and it got me to thinking of therapy and how many forms it comes in,
be it eating ice-creams in the park, dancing, writing down our thoughts
or just doing nothing at all and gazing at butterflies.
For two hours I detached myself from the world and listened to his soothing voice
and cool sounds. I came out of it feeling like a new person.
I highly recommend this kind of therapy..

It inspired me to write the above poem!

I am an unknown introvert who desires to touch the world with a little bit of magic...

  1. What a moving piece, Ally. Glad that the Easy Afternoon gave you a chance to just think of the music. I must say that as I sit in the studio my mind is entirely focused on producing a sound that is uplifting.
