all the love you created is still there.
all the memories are still there.
you live on in the hearts of everyone you have touched
and nurtured while you were here…..
death ends a life
not a relationship!
― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie
I stopped to take this picture on Sir Lowry’s pass over looking Cape Town. The sun was so bright I couldn’t see what I took, until I got home!
my son’s body
painful words wound my ears.
my heart stopped,
my blood turned cold,
his heartbeat gone,
no dreams to hold!
funeral processions in my dreams,
autopsies cause hysterical screams.
broken pieces of my life,
i am alive!
do they want my tragedy?
i have explored forgiving realms,
in this world,
i’ve sojourned in hell!
he went to sleep in loving home,
God I praise you,
he was not alone!
he awoke again on clouds of white,
and vanquished pain,
his aura bright!
could anyone resist such love?
in heaven above!
and when his fragile frame found dust,
he became translucent,
the sad world hushed!
i know he didn’t take his life,
his plans were made,
to take a wife.
nightly messages to his friend,
he didn’t want his life to end!
he came to breathe his last breath,
an abundant life,
of so much depth!
at thirty three,
taken too soon,
now he’s touched the silver moon!
when pain engulfs our mortal beings,
we look for substance,
to make us free!
his noble life
is one in glory
safe with the Divine………
