Spring Fever

“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke

spring feverNew life breathes
fragrant blossoms abound.
skies alive
with melody,
all the earth resounds.
Rhapsodies in the air,
jasmine imbues the breeze.
Verdant fields swirl and dance,
and light caresses trees.
Decorations of loveliness,
hearts infused with hope.
long dark nights,
faint memories,
daisies on the slopes.
Doves are flitting all about,
filling nests with twigs.
bright-eyed new arrivals,
waiting to test
their wings.
Promised walks on the beach,
gazing at the cerulean sky.
Forests beckon
with cool calm breath,
streams in abundant supply.
When sunlight creeps
through the window
and my feet touch the floor,
songbirds tweet excitedly
and summon me out of doors.

I am an unknown introvert who desires to touch the world with a little bit of magic...
