Letting Go

“Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”
Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

in the midst of pain,
can it be?
Break me if You want,
I surrender.
Put the shards on the ceiling,
if that helps.
Tear my heart out;
if needs be!
Let my screaming begin,
so that You can put me back together!

I lie here in tatters,
thinking about the past,
the desolation!
Please erase my memories,
the damage.
I want to forget!
Take away the despair,
make it fade.
I don’t need it anymore!

Does this pain make me a better person,
when the bitterness is toxic?
The misery is lethal,
at times,
it engulfs me!

I woke up,
thinking of You,
thanking You,
adoring You!
You made me,
in perfection,
in Love!

I’ve stopped praying,
stopped asking,
even stopped petitioning!
I’ve tried to hold on to acceptance,
I concede, I’m powerless!
The acquiescence arises
into brokenness!
I will embrace adversity,
though reluctance
inhabits me!
I relinquish control,
and set my doubt
a sail on an ocean
of peace!
The pain still visits,
That unwelcome heartbreak!

I just want amnesia
absence of thought!
But I don’t want to forget what is good,
what is Holy,
what is consecrated!
I won’t forget glory
I cannot forget the light,
that burns within me.
The light,
that expels darkness!

When I touched Your wings
I saw Your light.
I know Your presence.
Come back…..

In my brokenness,
I’m grateful!

I am an unknown introvert who desires to touch the world with a little bit of magic...
